The Esports Hub Discord server tag is a single white lightning bolt that sits next to your username across Discord. No letters, no words, no background colour. Just the icon. Free to claim for every member.

What Is a Discord Server Tag

A Discord server tag is a small label that shows next to your username across Discord. Server owners unlock the perk via three Server Boosts and pick a 2 to 4 character code plus a small icon. Members opt in once and the tag follows their name everywhere Discord renders names: chat, voice channels, profile popouts, mentions, and DMs.

Why Icon-Only

Most server tags are 2 to 4 letters of text because that’s the default flow. Letters and words next to your username compete with the username itself. The Esports Hub tag is icon-only with no text, so it stays small, reads cleanly on every Discord theme, and lets your name stand on its own.

How to Claim

1

Join the Esports Hub Discord

Open the discord.gg/esportshub invite and accept. Free, no signup gate.
2

Open Discord Settings

Click the user settings cog at the bottom of the Discord app.
3

Pick the Esports Hub server tag

Go to Profile, scroll to Server Tag, and pick Esports Hub from the list of servers you can wear.
4

Apply the bolt

Confirm. The white bolt now sits next to your name across every Discord chat, voice channel, and DM.
Discord also shows a one-click prompt the first time you visit a server with an active tag. If you see the prompt for Esports Hub, accept and the tag is on.

Where the Tag Shows Up

Anywhere Discord renders your name: chat, member list, profile popouts, mentions, voice channels, DMs. Renders identically on Discord desktop, web, iOS, and Android.

Cost and Limits

Free for every member of the Esports Hub Discord. No premium gate, no points cost. Discord only lets you wear one server tag at a time. Swapping takes one click in Discord Settings.

Removing or Swapping the Tag

Open Discord Settings, go to Profile, scroll to Server Tag, and remove or swap. Removing the tag does not remove you from the Esports Hub server.

Frequently Asked

Did Esports Hub need Server Boosts to unlock the tag? Yes. Discord requires three Server Boosts before a server can unlock the tag perk. Esports Hub already had the perk active when the feature launched, which is why members can claim the bolt immediately. How rare is an icon-only tag? Most tags are 2 to 4 letters of text because that’s the default flow. Icon-only tags with no visible letters are uncommon because they require a specific setup on the server owner’s side. Can the tag be just numbers like 505? Discord allows alphanumeric characters and a small set of special characters, up to 4 characters. Numeric codes (like 505 or 999) are common in the rare-tag scene because they pair cleanly with most icons. Will it show on Discord mobile? Yes. Server tags render on every Discord client. The bolt sits next to your name everywhere Discord renders names, regardless of device.
