To get into the Esports Hub Discord server, every member does a quick one-time check on our website. This stops bots, alt accounts, and people trying to get back in after being banned.

How to verify

1

Click Verify in Discord

Open the verify channel in the Esports Hub Discord server and click the Verify button. The bot will send you a unique link that’s just for you.
2

Open the link

Click the link to load the verify page on esportshub.io. Don’t wait too long, the link expires for security.
3

Tick the captcha

Tick the “I’m not a robot” box. This is a quick check to confirm you’re a real person.
4

You're in

Once the page confirms you, the bot gives you the verified role on Discord and you have full access to the server.

What we collect

InfoWhy we need it
Browser fingerprintA unique mark of your browser and device. Helps us spot people who’ve been banned trying to come back on a different account.
IP address and countryHelps us flag suspicious sign-ups and block people using a VPN to dodge bans.
Discord IDConnects your verification to your Discord account so we can give you the right role.
Discord account ageThe age of your Discord account at the time you verified. We flag very-new accounts because that’s a common pattern for spam and ban evasion.
We don’t collect your email, your friend list, your DMs, or anything about other servers you’re in. The full data details are in our Privacy Policy.

If you see a “VPN detected” error

If our system spots a VPN or proxy on your connection, you’ll be asked to turn it off and try again. This is the only specific error message we show. If something else fails (like your account is too new, or our system thinks you might be a bot), you’ll see a generic error. We do this on purpose so people trying to game the system can’t tell which check they tripped.

Deleting your verification data

You can delete your verification data any time. There are two ways:
  • In Discord: type /privacy in the Esports Hub server and confirm.
  • On the website: open Settings, click the Privacy tab, then click Delete verification data.
Either way, your verification record is removed and the verified role comes off your Discord account. To get back into the server you’ll need to verify again.
If you’re a member of the server, your verification data sits there until you ask us to delete it or you leave. If you’ve been banned, we keep your data for up to 7 years so we can stop the ban being dodged with a new account, then it’s automatically deleted.

Trying to get around verification

If you try to dodge verification, get back in after a ban using an alt account, a VPN, a virtual machine, or anything similar, that’s an instant permanent ban from everything: the server, the website, and any paid services tied to your account.
