What we collect
| Info | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Browser fingerprint | A unique mark of your browser and device. Helps us spot people who’ve been banned trying to come back on a different account. |
| IP address and country | Helps us flag suspicious sign-ups and block people using a VPN to dodge bans. |
| Discord ID | Connects your verification to your Discord account so we can give you the right role. |
| Discord account age | The age of your Discord account at the time you verified. We flag very-new accounts because that’s a common pattern for spam and ban evasion. |
If you see a “VPN detected” error
If our system spots a VPN or proxy on your connection, you’ll be asked to turn it off and try again. This is the only specific error message we show. If something else fails (like your account is too new, or our system thinks you might be a bot), you’ll see a generic error. We do this on purpose so people trying to game the system can’t tell which check they tripped.Deleting your verification data
You can delete your verification data any time. There are two ways:- In Discord: type /privacy in the Esports Hub server and confirm.
- On the website: open Settings, click the Privacy tab, then click Delete verification data.
If you’re a member of the server, your verification data sits there until you ask us to delete it or you leave. If you’ve been banned, we keep your data for up to 7 years so we can stop the ban being dodged with a new account, then it’s automatically deleted.
