Wave News is the editorial section of Esports Hub. Industry coverage, tournament results, scene moves, brand deals, and platform announcements that didn’t quite fit anywhere else. New posts publish through the week and are pinned in the Discord #news channel when they go live.

What gets published

Wave News covers three buckets:

Industry coverage

Tournament results, player and staff moves between orgs, brand deal announcements, and the major business stories from the esports scene. We focus on competitive titles the Esports Hub community actually plays: Valorant, League of Legends, Counter-Strike, Dota 2, Fortnite, Apex Legends, Call of Duty, Overwatch, Rocket League.

Platform updates

Bigger Esports Hub announcements that need more context than a patch note can carry. New product launches, partnership expansions, policy changes, big community events.

Editorial

Long-form pieces, retrospectives, interviews with people inside the scene, and explainers on how parts of the industry actually work. These are slower to publish but live longest.

How to submit a tip

If you’ve got a scene story you want covered, a signing, a roster move, an off-the-record source on something brewing, open a Wave News Application ticket in Discord. The newsroom DMs back from there. We don’t pay for tips. We do credit sources who want credit and protect anonymity for sources who don’t.

RSS and notifications

Every new Wave News post is announced in the #news channel of the Esports Hub Discord. Turn on channel notifications there if you want a ping when stories drop. If you want a feed you can pull externally, the page exposes a sitemap that includes every news entry.

Wave News applications

Members who write well, know a specific scene, and want to publish under Wave News can apply for a contributor role. The application is a ticket type in Discord and asks for writing samples, scene focus, and availability. Approved contributors get the Wave News role and access to the contributor channels.
